In this context, MADDA provides a unique and highly valuable contribution. The nurse-led support service delivers care navigation, advocacy and psychosocial support to individuals and families form diagnosis through to bereavement. The model addresses a clear gap within the current system, particularly in Western Australia where, within the public health system, there are no dedicated mesothelioma support nurses.
